About Me & My Custom Pet Portraits

Greetings my Dear Friend 🙂

My name is Irina Petrova and I am known as the artist ‘Irisha’ . I have been a professional pet portrait artist since 2010. I am working from my home studio based in the UK. Originally I am from Russia but I have been living and working in the UK for many years. This beautiful country became my second home.

From an early age my favourite hobby was drawing and I would spend any free minute doing this. I used to draw everything – nature, people, animals, etc

It is only later in my life I realised that my favourite topic is animals. I would say pets in particular. Majority of my artworks are dog portraits, then would be cat portraits and finally horse portraits from photos and other animals. In an ideal world I would love to create as many pet portraits as possible for every pet.

To create a portrait of your pet I am using only the best quality materials, I work with soft and hard pastels and also coloured pencils on pastel mat or other great quality pastel papers.

I offer a variety of sizes for your pet portraits and I will do my best to create a pet portrait composition you wish.

If you would like to commission a multiple pet portrait I would work with a few photographs to combine them in one painting.  It is quite frequently a pet portrait commission created by using a variety of ideas from the pet photos and customer’s thoughts about the future artwork.

I would always listen to all your wishes about future commissioned artwork to create a very special and unique painting for you.

If you are looking for a portrait of a dog, cat or horse and you like the quality of my work please contact me for more information.

Professional Pet Portrait Artist - Irisha

Painting and drawing has been a lifelong passion. I’ve been a professional pet portrait artist for some years and enjoy all subjects. My specialty is pet portraits from photos. I receive commissions from all over the UK and some from overseas.

I’m very flexible in trying to meet the needs of the customer. I’m able to create multiple pet portrait containing two or more subjects, even if you provide separate photos of the two pets. Many clients want a straight, classic pet portraits but I am also able to create portraits with some humour if this is preferred.

A look at my gallery to see some examples of my previous work will give a good guide as to what I am able to offer.

I email clients a digital image of their finished pet portrait and there is no obligation to buy the finished artwork until you are completely satisfied with the result.

If you are thinking about commissioning a pet portrait please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I am always happy to help 🙂
