My name is Irina Petrova and I’m originally from Russia. I’ve been living and working in the UK for many years. Since 2010 I’ve been a professional pet portrait artist, working from my home studio.
I enjoy painting a variety of subjects but pet paintings from photos are my speciality. If you are looking for your dog portrait, cat portrait or horse portrait and you like the quality of my work please contact me for more information.
Painting and drawing has been a lifelong passion. I’ve been a professional pet portraits artist for some years and enjoy all subjects. My specialty is pet paintings from photos. I receive commissions from all over the UK and some from overseas.
I’m very flexible in trying to meet the needs of the customer. I’m able to create a pet portraits containing two or more subjects, even if you provide separate photos of your beloved pets. Many clients want a straight, classic pet portrait painting but I am also able to create pet portraits with some humour if this is preferred.
A look at my gallery to see some examples of my previous work will give a good guide as to what I am able to offer.
I email clients a digital image of their finished pet portrait painting and there is no obligation to buy the finished portrait until you are completely satisfied with the result.
If you love animals then it may be a good idea to pop into my online shop.
In my shop, you will find a great selection of greeting cards with dogs, cats and other wonderful animals. As well as beautiful, high-quality art prints, digital images with animals to download, cushions, notebooks and more…
All the items are of great quality and made in the UK.
The shop is regularly updated with new designs!
Pet Portrait Painting is a great way to remember our pets who are very much part of the family. They also make a wonderful gift for family members or friends. Many of my pet portraits are given as Christmas gifts or for Birthday’s.
All of my pet portraits are produced using soft and hard pastels, as well as coloured pencils. Pastel is an excellent medium for creating pet portraits which I feel has a number of benefits. With pastel, you can achieve a wonderfully luscious, velvety texture that is perfect for showing the softness and highlights of a pet’s fur. If a pastel pet portrait is looked after correctly it will last a very long time without losing its vibrancy.
Every pet is special to its owner’s, and I love to capture the unique personality of each and every animal to create something wonderful that you can treasure.
